About

Nice Try Kid Records is an independent record label based in Brooklyn, NY to showcase the music of Rob Heath and a growing community of collaborators. The catalog includes Automatic Candy, Rob Heath + Kirk Schoenherr, Golden Lumens, Kuya Beast, HiHatHiHat and many future planned releases.

The idea for the label was born out of the Nice Try, Kid! experimental music residency that started in September of 2023 by Rob Heath and hosted by the cocktail bar, Troost, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on the last Mondays of the month. So many musical partnerships have been formed at that residency that have resulted in records and there needed to be a home for this labor. Nice Try Kid Records is the attempt to house this work.
